    • Ferrari 488 GTB 0-342 launch control acceleration + 100-200 kph testing

Thank goodness for independent Ferrari testing or we might never know what these cars actually do. This stock 488 GTB was launched using the launch control program which interestingly revs up to only around 3k rpm.

The car was run to an indicated 342 kph but also while being Vbox tested from 100-200 kph. Now, 100-200 kph is not a 60-130 mph equivalent which is a mistake many make. Tack on roughly half a second to get a realistic 488 GTB stock 60-130 mph number although obviously this is an educated guess.

100-200 kph in 5.4 seconds certainly is very, very quick and ahead of a McLaren 570S which is said to do the spring in 5.9 seconds. A 991.2 Turbo S takes 6.6 seconds.
